A true island girl, Emily is originally from Victoria but has now called Nanaimo home for over ten years. She shares her everyday joys with her husband, David, and their senior rescue cat, Juniper.

Working with animals has been on Emily’s heart since she was a young girl, leading her to work in a variety of animal care settings including Veterinary Clinics and Pet Grooming Facilities, as well as offering private Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Services to the Nanaimo Area.

In early 2022, Emily graduated from Vancouver Island University's 8-month Animal Care Aide Program. Through the program, Emily gained crucial knowledge and hands-on training, covering topics such as: Medical Emergency Response, Canine and Feline CPR, Common Illnesses and Treatments, Administering Medications, Safe Animal Restraint, Fear Free Handling, and more.

After graduating from the program Emily took a leap of faith to leave the vet industry and pursue her dream of running No Ruff Days full-time, and she hasn’t looked back even once!

Emily’s favourite thing about running No Ruff Days is that she gets to see pets in their happy place everyday, and feels pride in knowing that she is contributing to every owner’s goal of giving them their best life possible. She is just as happy spending long hours hiking in the woods with your energetic pups as she is reading on the sofa with a purring cat on her lap.
